Junior Research Fellow

Applications are invited for a Junior Research Fellow position for a Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, sponsored project. Research fellow should have M.Tech in biotechnology. The candidate should have basic laboratory training in characterization of microbial diversity in the environmental samples and knowledge about the techniques such as 16S rRNA and MALDI-TOF-MS used in gene sequencing of microorganisms. The work will be in the area of characterization of bacterial aerosols from Bangalore city.The candidate should be willing to spend significant period  of time in field work at Bangalore. Duration of position may be for 20 months.
