| Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati Guwahati-781039, Assam CALL FOR WALK IN INTERVIEW Applications are invited for a walk in interview to be held in the Conference Room of the Department of Biotechnology on 30 January 2015 at 3:00 pm onward for temporary positions of one JRF, one SRF and one Greenhouse Attendant in a DBT, Govt. of India funded Unit of Excellence project entitled “Exploring the Binding Space to develop an optimal transcriptional control system for Abiotic stress tolerance in Crops” (BT/P/LS/10). Scale of Pay: JRF (01): Rs 16,000/- + 20% HRA for the 1st two years and Rs. 18,000/- + 20% HRA for 3rd year for SRF and applicable if JRF is NET/GATE/BET/BINC qualified, otherwise it shall be Rs 12,000/- + 20% HRA for the 1st two years and Rs. 14,000/- + 20% HRA for 3rd year. SRF (01): Rs 18,000/- + 20% HRA. Greenhouse Attendant (01): Rs 5,000/- consolidated Qualification and Experience: JRF: Masters in Life Sciences/Plant Science/Biotechnology and allied disciplines. Candidates having knowledge of techniques of plant genetic engineering / molecular biology / tissue culture will be given preference. SRF: Masters in Life Sciences/Plant Science/Biotechnology and allied disciplines with two years of relevant research experience in plant genetic engineering / molecular biology / tissue culture as evident from publications. Greenhouse Attendant: HSLC with prior experience of hardening and maintaining genetically modified plants in greenhouse containment. Terms: Appointment will be initially made for a period of one (1) year and may be extended for upto a maximum of three (3) years based on performance. Application and Selection Procedure: Candidates have to appear in the walk-in-interview in person along with an application/CV giving details of all educational qualifications, experience and submit photocopies of relevant documents at the time of interview. Selection will be based on the performance of the candidate in the interview. Candidates will not be sent any interview call letter separately.
