Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati Guwahati-781039, Assam CALL FOR WALK IN INTERVIEW Applications are invited for a walk in interview to be held in the Conference Room of the Department of Bioscience and Bioengineering on April 13, 2015 at 9:30 AM, for the posts of Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/ Senior Research Fellow and Project Assistant in a DBT, Govt. of India, funded project entitled "In vitro production of doubled haploids in Tea” The appointment will be on contract basis for one (1) year and may be extended for another year based on the performance of the candidates. Scale of pay: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/Senior Research Fellow: JRF @Rs. 16000/- (Consolidated) + 20% HRA / SRF @Rs 18000/- (Consolidated) + 20% HRA. The emoluments are applicable, only if NET/GATE/BET/BINC qualified, otherwise it shall be Rs12,000/- + 20% HRA for JRF/ Rs14,000/- + 20% HRA for SRF. Project Assistant: Rs 8,000/-(fixed) per month Qualifications: JRF/SRF: M.Sc./ B.Tech./ BE in Botany/ Biotechnology/ Life Sciences/Biochemistry/ Plant Sciences or related area or equivalent. Candidates should have obtained 60% in qualifying degree examination. Candidates having throughout first division and an experience in Plant Tissue Culture techniques will be preferred. Project Assistant: M.Sc./ B.Tech./ BE in Botany/ Biotechnology/ Life Sciences/ Biochemistry/ Plant Sciences or related area or equivalent. Candidates should have obtained 60% in qualifying degree examination. Candidates having experience in Plant Tissue Culture techniques will be preferred. Application & Selection procedure: Candidates have to appear in the walk-in-interview in person along with an application/CV on plain paper giving details of all educational qualifications, experience, contact address, phone no., E-mail etc. and submit photocopies of relevant documents at the time of interview on April 13, 2015 (Monday) at 9.30 AM. Selection will be based on the performance of the candidate in the interview. Candidates will not be sent any interview call letter separately. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidate for appearing in the interview.
