Bharathidasan University established in February 1982, and was named after the great revolutionary Tamil Poet, Bharathidasan. The research work going on in some of the departments and research centres Physics, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Centre for Nonlinear Dynamics) are internationally recognized because of their high quality. Some of the research centres of the university are strongly supported by scientific agencies in India. The Centre for Nonlinear Dynamics is supported by DST and DAE and the National Facility for Marine Cyanobacteria is supported by DBT. 

Applications are invited from interested candidates for the temporary post of Junior Research Fellow (1 no.) to work for a Ministry of Earth Sciences, Govt. of India sponsored Project entitled “Heavy metal flow in the marine food web of Muthupettai Mangrove Ecosystem, East coast of Tamil Nadu” at the Department of Marine Science, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli - 620 024.

• Name of the Position : Junior Research Fellow
• No of Post : 1
• Fellowship : Rs. 12,000/-p.m.
• Desired Profile : M.Sc., Degree in Marine Science/Marine Biology/Oceanography/Marine Biotechnology/Environmental Science Zoology
• Preferred : Experience in Marine environmental and biological sample collection, storage, processing and analysis of heavy metals using AAS
• Duration : 3 years
• Age : 35 years or below for men and 40 years or below for women (Relaxation as per Govt. of India norms).
